Mindfulness Course: Improving the Moment with Mindfulness
A FREE 6-Week Course
Mindfulness: “Awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally…in the service of self-understanding and wisdom”
Mindfulness is a skill that when practiced through meditation over time can help you reduce stress, improve your focus and concentration, and experience greater emotional resilience and well-being.
This 6-week course will provide students with instruction in the foundations of Mindfulness.
Students will have opportunities to practice various meditations guided by Dr. Close via Zoom and between sessions and to pose questions and discuss their learning and insights with each other each week. The focus of this introductory course is to help students discover ways in which they can cultivate more Presence - to get the very most out of - their lives.
This course is for YOU if:
You feel stressed out more often than relaxed (“Relaxed…What’s that?”).
You live most of your moments on Auto-pilot.
You feel lost in the hectic pace of life & have an inkling that ‘there must be more to life than this’.
You feel disconnected from your Self and lack clarity in what matters most to you.
You are curious about what all the hype about this ‘Mindfulness’ stuff is all about.
You have lost your way in your own practice and need a ‘re-boot’.
* All levels of practitioners are welcome, no previous practice required.
